Description

You will support the Network Field Services team by installing physical infrastructure across various state buildings.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling as the primary task.
• Deploy and test IP camera systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches.
• Perform physical installations in diverse environments including attics, crawl spaces, and office settings.
• Travel throughout the state, which may require early starts, late finishes, or overnight stays.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network cable installation.
• Expertise in CAT5/6 network cable installation, termination, and testing.
• Experience with fiber optic cable installation, termination, splicing, and testing.
• Ability to install and test IP camera systems.
• Cisco Switch configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical capability to work in attics and crawl spaces.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the state.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting.
• Prior work with IP camera installations.
