Description

You will support the Network Field Services team by installing physical network infrastructure across various locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test CAT5/6 network cabling as a primary function.
• Perform fiber optic cable installation, termination, splicing, and testing.
• Deploy IP camera systems and network switch hardware.
• Navigate diverse environments including attics, crawl spaces, and office settings.
• Travel throughout the state to client and NCDMV buildings using state-owned vehicles.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with CAT5/6 network cable installation, termination, and testing.
• 3+ years of experience with fiber optic cable installation, termination, splicing, and testing.
• Experience working in physical environments such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Ability to travel extensively, including early starts and late finishes.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience with IP camera systems.
• Experience with Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting.
