Description

Drive the concept-to-commercialization process for new internal feeding devices within the Digestive Health Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Convert user needs into engineering requirements and technical solutions through voice of customer and customer-centric design.
  • Lead small NPD and technology development projects while serving as a subject matter expert on larger sub-systems.
  • Execute design control activities via stage-gate processes, including prototyping, verification, and reliability testing.
  • Design components, products, processes, fixtures, and test methods.
  • Create engineering specifications, drawings, work instructions, and technical reports.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of product development experience with 3 years in a lead role.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks 3D modeling and design.
  • Proficiency in material selection, thermoplastics, and thermoset molding processes.
  • Experience with Class I and Class II medical device design controls.
  • Ability to conduct technical design reviews and document engineering changes.
  • Competency in Minitab and SAS-JMP for data-driven decision making.
  • Strong project management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • SolidWorks CSWE or CSWP certification.
  • Experience with plastic/rubber injection molding, extrusion, laser engraving, and machining.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
