Description

You will secure NG911 systems by architecting security controls and ensuring compliance with NENA and APCO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Architect security controls and establish best practices for hardware, software, and ESINET Network Technology.
  • Review vendor designs to ensure compliance with established security standards and governance models.
  • Manage test cases, perform acceptance testing, and identify risks associated with system integrations.
  • Detect, manage, and investigate security monitoring tools while leading the resolution of security incidents.
  • Work with vendors, carriers, and technical groups to implement and troubleshoot security controls.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years of security engineering experience.
  • Strong application security experience and background in Identity and Access Management.
  • Expertise applying NIST 800-53 security controls to hardware and software products.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, .Net, and various scripting languages.
  • Experience in DevSecOps, secure configurations, benchmarking, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, malware defenses, and log analysis.
  • Strong background in performing security risk assessments.
  • Experience with software testing, reverse engineering, and network security design.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience auditing application security design and familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
  • Cloud security expertise and compliance experience, specifically HIPAA.
  • Deep understanding of firewall policies and network security design.
