Description

Coordinate and perform molecular biological examinations on human, animal, and environmental specimens.

Responsibilities

• Execute nucleic acid extraction using manual and automated methods.
• Perform molecular techniques including PCR, MALDI-TOF, and NGS.
• Develop, validate, and implement new molecular tests with associated SOPs.
• Maintain sequencing instrumentation and troubleshoot assays.
• Evaluate, interpret, and report laboratory findings for high-complexity testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in molecular biology or related sub-specialties.
• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Proficiency in sequencing assay troubleshooting.
• Strong background in PCR and MALDI-TOF techniques.
• Experience with complex scientific apparatus and automated analysis techniques.
• Ability to perform high-complexity testing under strict procedures.
• Strong documentation skills for quality control and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality control policies and proficiency testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with technical equipment and complex scientific apparatus.
