Description

You will build NLP systems to extract, interpret, and synthesize diagnostic lab data into machine-readable, interoperable formats.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop NLP applications for medical entity extraction and text mining.
• Implement text representation techniques, classification algorithms, and end-to-end Java applications.
• Train, evaluate, and refine models through statistical analysis of results.
• Design databases to store NLP entities and relationships.
• Extend machine learning libraries and frameworks to support specific NLP tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an NLP Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong Java development experience and ability to design software architecture.
• Clinical NLP experience using cTakes or UIMA.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Keras, BERT, or OpenNLP.
• Experience with libraries like scikit-learn.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare domain and ontology tools.
• Knowledge of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction, and data modeling.
• Ability to write robust, testable code.

• Advanced expertise in Java and NLP workflows.
