Description

You will provide foundational support for monitoring and managing core, distribution, carrier last mile, and customer premise voice and data services in a 24x7 network operations center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network surveillance and perform basic system troubleshooting for voice and data services.
• Document incidents and their resolutions clearly for operational tracking.
• Escalate issues beyond your scope to senior engineers promptly.
• Prioritize tasks effectively within the 24x7 NOC workflow.
• Maintain operational documentation and participate in technical training.

Required Skills

• Associate degree in a technology field required.
• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 10+ years without one.
• Proven NOC (Network Operation Center) engineer background.
• Experience in a Fiber or Wireless provider NOC.
• Strong understanding of Layer 1 (Physical) and Layer 3 (Data) protocols.
• Strong telecom background.
