Description

You will build and maintain scalable, highly-available RESTful APIs and distributed services within a fintech enterprise environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize database schemas using SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Ensure system quality through unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
• Manage service deployment and troubleshooting within CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
• Research and benchmark technologies to maintain high standards of application architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional coding experience in Node.js and JavaScript.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of Node.js internals including the event loop, non-blocking I/O, and memory management.
• Proficiency with RESTful API development, JWT, and OAuth authentication.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, Sequelize, and Mongoose.
• Practical experience with GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and Git version control.
• Experience with task/message queues such as Kafka, AWS, or Azure.

Preferred Skills

• Background in Banking, Financial, or Fintech enterprise environments.
• Experience with API gateway integrations like 3Scale.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
