Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and frontend libraries for retail checkout applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create reusable JavaScript libraries for web applications.
• Upgrade legacy JavaScript and Node.js applications and their dependencies to current versions.
• Design and implement features for device orchestration and API integration at scale.
• Decompose vague requirements into structured functional and non-functional specifications.
• Own the end-to-end process of requirement clarification, coding, and testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, and React.
• 5+ years of experience with Java and Jest.
• 5+ years of experience applying SOLID principles and contract-first development.
• 5+ years of experience deploying TDD in large-scale software environments.
• 5+ years of experience monitoring and resolving production issues at scale.
• 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and data analysis using Splunk, Grafana, and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with Git and VS Code.
• Experience with messaging frameworks.
• Ability to create automated unit and integration tests.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating large-scale projects from older TypeScript/Node.js versions to the latest frameworks.
• Experience orchestrating Point of Sale devices, payment terminals, or peripheral hardware.
