Description

Senior Backend Engineer responsible for designing scalable, distributed applications in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build mid-tier and backend APIs using Node.js.
• Manage the full SDLC from design to deployment for large-scale consumer applications.
• Implement unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Build and consume web services using REST or SOAP protocols.

Required Skills

• 8+ years total professional experience.
• 5+ years developing web and software applications.
• 5+ years with Node.js and backend API development.
• 5+ years in software design and architecture.
• 5+ years experience with REST or SOAP web services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services.
• Proven ability to build distributed, scalable, and highly available applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Big Data, social, mobile, or SaaS environments.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
