Description

You will build and maintain production-grade Node.js and TypeScript services. You design APIs using REST and GraphQL, implementing event-driven architectures with Kafka. You ensure transactional integrity and idempotency across microservices deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production Node.js/TypeScript services with strong API design.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka producers and consumers.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases using ORMs like Drizzle, ensuring data consistency.
• Deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP with CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply observability practices including structured logging, metrics, and tracing.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with deep expertise in Node.js.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and API-first development.
• Strong experience with REST and GraphQL API design.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven systems.
• Database management with PostgreSQL and ORM experience (Drizzle preferred).
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of microservices, outbox pattern, and security best practices.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Windsurf.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent communication skills to translate complex standards into actionable guidance.
