Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and microservices using Node.js on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, Express/Fastify, and TypeScript.
• Implement unit and integration tests using Jest to ensure code quality and coverage.
• Deploy and manage serverless functions and infrastructure using AWS Lambda, SQS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Design database schemas and optimize queries for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MS SQL.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and manage Linux-based deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and async patterns, error handling, and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS services: Lambda, SQS, S3, and CloudWatch logs/metrics/alarms.
• Proficiency in database management including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MS SQL.
• Experience writing unit tests using Jest, including test doubles and coverage thresholds.
• Familiarity with HTTP client libraries like Axios, including retries, backoff, and idempotency.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency with Linux command line tools and shell scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with DynamoDB, DocumentDB, or streaming services.
