Description

You will manage data interchange between servers and users, owning server-side logic, database maintenance, and high-performance responsiveness. You integrate front-end elements into the application while ensuring security and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for low-latency, high-availability applications.
• Implement security, data protection, and user authentication across multiple systems.
• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript (or CoffeeScript).
• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks such as Express or StrongLoop.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming quirks and workarounds.
• Experience with server-side templating languages: Jade, EJS.
• Experience with server-side CSS preprocessors: Stylus, Less.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3.
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
• Proficient use of Git for code versioning.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system.
