Description

Build and maintain server-side logic and central databases to ensure high performance and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and manage data interchange between servers and users.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for backend systems.
• Implement security, data protection, and data storage solutions.

Required Skills

• 6 to 12 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, including its quirks and workarounds.
• Experience implementing user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system.
• Knowledge of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
• Proficiency with Git for code versioning.
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Understanding of delivery platform differences, such as mobile vs. desktop, and output optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Knowledge of server-side templating languages and CSS preprocessors.
