Description

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend systems using Node.js and modern database technologies.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript/ES6+, ensuring modular and efficient code.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services while implementing secure authentication (JWT, OAuth2).
• Manage database schemas, indexing, and performance tuning across MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Apply Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) principles to build scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Debug complex backend workflows, optimize asynchronous performance, and implement robust error handling and logging.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript/ES6+.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle for schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of message queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with API security practices including JWT, OAuth2, data validation, and encryption.
• Proficiency in Git with collaborative branching and release strategies.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability.
