Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Node.js.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document backend applications and high-quality APIs.
• Develop microservices using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.
• Manage data handling and querying using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services with third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver high-performing applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Express.js or NestJS.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with ORM tools such as Sequelize or TypeORM.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with API authentication protocols including OAuth and JWT.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Practical use of Docker and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
