Description

You will modernize legacy systems by incrementally replacing components with new services built on Node.js and React.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modular services using the Strangler Pattern to incrementally migrate legacy applications to Node.js (TypeScript) and React.
• Build scalable, secure APIs and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript, integrating with EHR/EMR systems and third-party healthcare APIs.
• Modernize user interfaces with React, ensuring adherence to healthcare UX standards and accessibility requirements.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and monitor production systems in collaboration with QA and DevOps teams.
• Ensure all development practices meet healthcare regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of full stack development experience, including 5+ years specifically with Node.js (TypeScript) and React.
• Proven track record modernizing large-scale applications using the Strangler Pattern or similar incremental migration strategies.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and secure coding practices for healthcare environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience implementing frontend state management using Redux or Context API.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines.
• Experience working with C# or Ruby On Rails to interface with legacy components.
