Description

You will modernize large-scale healthcare applications by incrementally replacing legacy components with new services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the incremental migration of legacy applications to a Node.js (TypeScript) backend and React frontend using the Strangler Pattern.
• Design and implement modular, scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Modernize user interfaces using React, ensuring adherence to healthcare UX standards and accessibility.
• Automate and monitor deployment using CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
• Ensure all application development meets healthcare regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of full stack development experience.
• 5+ years specifically with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience modernizing large-scale applications using the Strangler Pattern.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and secure coding for healthcare.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of NestJS for structuring enterprise-grade backend services.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or C# for legacy component maintenance.
