Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Integrate third-party APIs including payment gateways and Google Firebase.
• Manage data storage through RDBMS and NoSQL integrations.
• Own the full web development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JS and ES6.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Extensive experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with Restify and building RESTful services.
• Practical knowledge of Git, Bootstrap, Grunt, Babel, and Webpack.
• Experience using GitHub and JIRA for version control and task tracking.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, SES, and CodeDeploy.
• Understanding of scaling, data protection, and security considerations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with WebSockets.
• Experience using Redis for task queues and other applications.
