Description

You will lead backend development and define the technical strategy for our microservices architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall backend strategy to align with business goals and industry best practices.
• Define and implement microservices development standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Plan, manage, and execute backend development projects using Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
• Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects to ensure high-quality delivery within budget.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify technical opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in backend development using JavaScript and Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing high-performing backend teams.
• Deep expertise in microservices technologies and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows.
• Proficiency with tooling including GitHub, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Solid command of version control systems such as Git.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
