Description

You will lead the migration of application code from JavaScript to TypeScript, including debugging tests, refining transpilation scripts, and optimizing performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transpilation scripts to convert the application from JavaScript to TypeScript.
• Debug and resolve issues within existing JavaScript unit tests following the migration.
• Refine transpilation scripts based on error patterns and migration outcomes.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in the TypeScript code post-migration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of practical experience developing services using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of the TypeScript and Babel transpilers.
• Experience with Jest and Jasmine testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Cloud Native development and architectures on AWS, Cloud Foundry, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented (OO) design principles.
• Ability to work independently or within a team to resolve complex technical issues.
• Any Graduate degree.
