Description

You will manage the design, deployment, and optimization of highly available NoSQL database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Apache Cassandra and MongoDB clusters to ensure high availability and data consistency.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and cluster configuration adjustments.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Secure databases by implementing access controls and encryption to meet compliance standards.
• Collaborate with developers on data modeling, schema design, and application integration.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a NoSQL Database Administrator.
• Deep proficiency in administering Apache Cassandra and MongoDB, including cluster management, replication, and sharding.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL data modeling principles, eventual consistency, and the CAP theorem.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.
• Expertise in data management and capacity planning.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues.

Preferred Skills

• MongoDB Certified DBA or Cassandra certifications.
