Description

Provide second-level NoSQL support for a diverse SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain availability and data integrity.
• Perform database patching and upgrades during scheduled maintenance windows.
• Create and maintain runbooks for standard database tasks and oversee tasks for L1 staff.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency issues and automated pages.
• Collaborate with software engineering and L3 DBA teams to diagnose and resolve outages.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency with Redis.
• Experience managing Cassandra, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, HBase, or Couchbase.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for production environments.
• Ability to work with monitoring tools to track platform health and performance.
• Bachelor's degree.
