Description

You will own the administration, maintenance, and performance of NoSQL database platforms in production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration and maintenance for NoSQL databases across environments.
• Debug, tune, and enhance performance while automating operational and continuous integration tasks.
• Write shell scripts to automate installation and support processes.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improved database solutions and capacity expansions.
• Assist developers with schema changes, access levels, upgrades, and migrations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UNIX systems, shell scripting, and NoSQL database administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Redis, MemSQL, CockroachDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as BladeLogic and Ansible for job creation and execution.
• Deep understanding of cluster management, including node bootstrapping, consistency tuning, replication, and multi-DC configuration.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, capacity planning, compaction strategies, backup, recovery, and security.
• Experience in high-volume environments.

• Proven versatility and flexibility in resolving technical issues across disciplines.
