Description

You will implement and administer VMware VCF software suites and network virtualization solutions.

Responsibilities

• Implement VMware VCF software tools including SDDC, vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, and Aria.
• Configure L4/L7 Distributed Firewall rules and IDS/IPS functionality.
• Manage NSX-T Advanced Local and Global Load Balancing.
• Deploy software updates and security patches across the VCF environment.
• Integrate Workspace One/Horizon VDI solutions with Azure AD and NSX-T identity-based firewalling.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with software-defined network technologies.
• Expertise in VMware NSX-T Datacenter 3.1.3/3.2.x.
• Experience with BGP peering between NSX-T and Cisco ACI.
• Proficiency with NSX-T Distributed and Gateway Firewalls (T1/SR) using App ID based Layer 7 rules.
• Knowledge of Avi Global (DNS) and Local load balancing, including SNAT VIPs and L7 pool monitoring.
• Understanding of VxLAN/Geneve based Federated stretch NSX-T segments.
• Competency with VMware ESXi vSphere/vCenter 7.x/8.x, NSX-T VDS, and T1/T0 segments.
• Familiarity with VCF Cloud Foundation and NSX-T extensions into AWS and Azure.
• Strong grasp of IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, and advanced routing protocols.
• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure, vSAN, and VMware IT server/SAN storage.
• Ability to use Python, Terraform, and Ansible for automation pipelines.
• Knowledge of Azure AD, Microsoft Active Directory, and Certificate Authority Services.
• Familiarity with NIST800-53 R4, PCI DSS 3.2.1, and IRS Pub1075 compliance.
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Network Virtualization Design 2023 certification.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Aria suite (vROps, vCenter, vRA, Log Insight) and VMware Horizon.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or VMware Certified Design Expert - Network Virtualization 2023.
