Description

Manage the setup, configuration, and optimization of hardware and infrastructure components supporting Oracle Database Appliances.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure ODA hardware, storage, disks, volumes, and RAID configurations.
• Manage OVM and KVM hypervisors using ODACLIs.
• Execute infrastructure patching following Oracle Support quarterly releases across all components.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies and monitor system performance to ensure availability.
• Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure issues and execute database upgrades with minimal downtime.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure administration.
• Hands-on experience with ODA infrastructure.
• Proficiency using ODACLIs.
• Direct experience managing Oracle Database environments.
• Experience managing OVM and KVM hypervisors.
• Knowledge of storage configuration including RAID and volume management.
• Ability to perform network infrastructure optimization for ODA connectivity.
• Experience with capacity planning and resource forecasting.

Preferred Skills

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and security policies.
