Description

You modernize and maintain enterprise life insurance policy administration platforms using Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and upgrade OIPA-based systems for policy issuance, billing, and claims.
• Build and maintain OIPA extensions while implementing application and palette security.
• Support release management and apply standard design patterns within a rules-based environment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain systems using Java 1.8 and SQL for data operations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement configuration-driven changes rapidly.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise with Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).
• 5+ years of experience supporting policy administration platforms.
• Proficiency with Oracle, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience working with Java (1.8) for maintenance development.
• Familiarity with configuration language, AS files, and data extraction patterns.
• Experience with relational database querying and stored procedure debugging.
• Understanding of application server environments like WebLogic and WebSphere.
• Knowledge of test-driven development practices using JUnit.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
