Description

You will own the stability, performance, and recovery of large-scale open-source database infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage database operations and serve as the primary escalation point for critical application outages.
• Perform strategic infrastructure analysis to drive capacity planning and implementation improvements.
• Lead troubleshooting for P1/P2/P3 incidents and guide the team through established escalation matrices.
• Execute system backups, restorations, and disaster recovery preparation and testing.
• Produce root cause analysis documents, change assessments, and updated SOPs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as an Open Source DBA or in a similar role.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL (versions 10, 11, 13, 14).
• Expertise in MySQL (versions 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, and 8).
• Expertise in MongoDB (versions 3, 4, and 6).
• Experience managing heavy databases exceeding 100+ TB.
• Proficiency in physical database design, partitioning, and indexing (local and global).
• Hands-on experience with logical and physical backups, replication, and point-in-time recovery.
• Strong knowledge of Unix (RHEL) operating systems.
• Ability to perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and patch management.

Preferred Skills

• PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB professional certification.
• Experience implementing database security through user, role, and privilege management.
