Description

You will design and implement network monitoring solutions using OpenNMS and related data technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring solutions utilizing OpenNMS and supporting data tools.
• Apply network monitoring principles and methodologies to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Translate technical concepts into clear documentation and communication for diverse audiences.
• Analyze and solve technical problems within containerized and Linux-based environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a solution engineering role, specifically within network monitoring.
• In-depth knowledge of OpenNMS or a demonstrated ability to master the platform quickly.
• Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Cortex.
• Proficiency in Linux and containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring principles and methodologies.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Scripting experience with Python and Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with Grafana, OpenShift, Helm Charts, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Experience developing custom plugins or integrations for OpenNMS.
