Description

You will lead the migration and management of enterprise container platforms, transitioning workloads from Pivotal Cloud Foundry to OpenShift.

Responsibilities

  • Assess application architectures, dependencies, and deployment configurations within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
  • Plan and execute application migrations from PCF to OpenShift to ensure minimal service disruption.
  • Implement configuration changes and deploy migrated applications to OpenShift clusters using container orchestration best practices.
  • Troubleshoot deployment failures, container errors, and platform-specific issues within the OpenShift environment.
  • Optimize application and container settings for performance, scalability, and resource utilization.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years designing and architecting enterprise container platforms.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for Java applications.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure cloud platforms and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Helm charts.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud-native patterns, microservices, and application modernization strategies.
