Description

Lead the migration of applications from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) to Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining functionality.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing PCF architecture, dependencies, and deployment configurations to plan the migration strategy.
• Execute application migration to OpenShift clusters, implementing configuration changes and following container orchestration best practices.
• Identify and resolve deployment failures, container errors, and platform-specific issues during and after migration.
• Fine-tune applications and container settings for optimal performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices including RBAC, secrets management, and compliance with corporate policies.

Required Skills

• 6+ years designing and architecting enterprise container platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in OpenShift cloud platform administration and configuration.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and CI/CD tools, specifically Harness.
• Knowledge of cloud-native patterns, microservices, and application modernization strategies.
• Scripting proficiency in shell and Helm charts modules.
• Experience with Autosys job scheduling.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams to provide clear documentation and post-migration support.
