Description

You will design, implement, and administer container environments and operating systems for a wireless engineering lab.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage bare-metal OpenShift installations and associated storage systems.
• Research, plan, secure, and monitor infrastructure to support wireless engineering lab requirements.
• Drive the technology roadmap by advising leadership and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate effectively with management.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in systems and network engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of OpenShift, Docker, and Rancher orchestration.
• Experience with on-premise, bare-metal OpenShift installations.
• Expertise in external storage protocols including SAN, Fibre Channel, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI Model, and network architecture.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization, hypervisors, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Skilled in using ticketing and software tools to support operations.

Preferred Skills

• Industry certifications such as Red Hat, Microsoft, A+, Cisco, Juniper, or Alcatel-Lucent.
• Experience creating engineering documentation like Design Documents, Data Flow Diagrams, and Implementation Guides.
