Description

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure within RHEL KVM environments, including virtual machines, networking, and high availability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage IaaS infrastructure using OpenStack in private and public clouds.
• Develop, test, and contribute Python patches to the OpenStack community.
• Build and maintain automated code distribution pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues within cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years focused on virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with RHEL KVM virtualization and Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS.
• Proficiency in Python for software development and OpenStack contributions.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible or Puppet for configuration management.
• Experience with software-defined storage such as Ceph.
• Knowledge of software-defined networking including OVS, OVN, and NFV.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD, or Conjur/Vault.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpenStack development and operations.
