Description

You will design, implement, and optimize monitoring solutions and OpenTelemetry integrations to enhance observability within the Enterprise Command Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of monitoring solutions using Splunk and other industry-standard tools.
• Implement and integrate OpenTelemetry across applications and services to collect traces, metrics, and logs.
• Design and deploy application and infrastructure performance monitoring within AWS Cloud environments.
• Create monitors, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and incidents.
• Perform deep statistical analysis and end-to-end transaction analysis to identify root causes using wire data analytics and event correlation.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for tool configurations, OpenTelemetry implementations, and best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and application architecture.
• Expert knowledge of OpenTelemetry for instrumenting, generating, collecting, and exporting telemetry data.
• Proven experience as a Splunk SME, including managing distributed clustered environments (Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, and Enterprise Security).
• Hands-on experience with transaction-level monitoring using Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS Fargate, IAM, ALB, and CloudWatch.
• Deep understanding of AWS data and networking tools such as ELB, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Route53, and CloudTrail.
• Experience monitoring microservices-based applications deployed in the cloud.
• Ability to create complex Splunk search queries and custom dashboards.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Catchpoint, MoogSoft, xMatters, SignalFx, SolarWinds, or ExtraHop.
