Description

You will architect, maintain, and automate mission-critical global hybrid infrastructure across multiple datacenters and cloud providers.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, highly available systems to handle high-volume internet-facing web traffic.
• Own system downtime, product SLAs, capacity planning, and the overall health of large-scale production environments.
• Participate in a weekly 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve outages, debug production issues, and solve escalated tickets.
• Automate routine tasks and manual processes through strict scripting and DevOps principles.
• Develop tools and platforms to improve system observability and insights, documenting design decisions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in systems administration and troubleshooting high-traffic production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, OS fundamentals (scheduler, memory, storage), and Linux filesystems.
• Experience managing production servers on RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu distributions.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and task automation.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud environments, specifically AWS.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, and L4/L7 load balancing.
• Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of Redis and Cassandra.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with infrastructure orchestration platforms like OpenShift, OpenStack, or Mesos.
• Proficiency in IaC toolchains such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo.
