Description

Provide second-level technical and operational support for critical production systems, ensuring minimal downtime through proactive monitoring and rapid incident resolution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 operational support for applications, systems, and infrastructure, resolving incidents escalated from L1 or identified via monitoring.
• Monitor production environments using tools like Nagios, Grafana, and Splunk to proactively identify performance or stability issues.
• Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and escalate to L3 or development teams when necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, health checks, and support deployment activities and configuration updates.
• Document all incidents, changes, and resolutions in ServiceNow or Jira, and assist in creating SOPs and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in application and production operations support.
• Strong proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows Server administration.
• Hands-on scripting experience with Shell, Bash, or Python for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring tools including Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
• Basic understanding of SQL, MySQL, or Oracle for query validation and issue analysis.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPN).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Ansible is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting production environments in a 24x7 setup.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and root cause analysis effectively.
