Description

You will design and implement features for optical networking systems, owning the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded real-time applications using multicore and multithreaded programming on Linux.
• Contribute to architecture and software design discussions for optical networking products.
• Develop application-level features and network management interfaces using CLI, NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI, and YANG models.
• Support OTN, ROADM, and Ethernet services, managing transponders and line systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++.
• Strong skills in Python and Shell scripting.
• Deep experience with Linux environments and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Experience with testing frameworks like gtest/gmock and pytest.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and SonarQube.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Confd/OpenYuma for NETCONF/gNMI implementations.
• Background in optical networking protocols and hardware management.
