Description

You will automate tests to validate and qualify Cisco and third-party optics on hardware running SONiC.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate tests for 100G, 200G, 400G, and 800G optics across various port and breakout configurations.
• Utilize IXIA Traffic Generator APIs to create and manage test scripts.
• Execute Python scripts on IXIA hardware and remote servers to conduct validation tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug network systems to ensure performance meets specifications.
• Collaborate with the development team to refine system architecture and deployment strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in networking and optics.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Extensive experience with optical technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SONiC network operating systems.
• Practical knowledge of IXIA Traffic Generator APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Prior industry experience in Networking and Optics.
