Description

You will act as a subject matter expert for electricity system operator balancing programs, focusing on the development and testing of modern dispatch optimization algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance and development of modern optimization algorithms.
• Coordinate with functional teams and business stakeholders to review and test scenarios.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify defects and observations.
• Develop requirement tools and automate the testing of algorithms.
• Work alongside project teams and customers on dispatch algorithm transformation programs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in optimization problem solving.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Deep understanding of Gurobi Optimizer.
• Expertise in solving LP, QP, and MIP (MILP, MIQP, and MIQCQ) problems.
• Experience developing custom data models and algorithms for large data sets.
• Knowledge of data collection, preprocessing, and analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering or a similar technical domain.
