Description

You will support the development and testing of modern dispatch optimization algorithms within electricity system balancing programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and quality assurance of modern optimization algorithms.
• Coordinate with functional teams and business stakeholders to review and test scenarios.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify defects and observations.
• Develop requirement tools and automation for algorithm testing.
• Work alongside developers, QA, and business teams on dispatch algorithm transformation programs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in optimization problem solving.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and insight extraction from large datasets.
• Expertise with Gurobi Optimizer.
• Deep understanding of LP, QP, and MIP (including MILP, MIQP, and MIQCQ) problems.
• Experience developing custom data models and algorithms for specific datasets.
• Knowledge of data collection, preprocessing, and analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, electronic, computer engineering, or a similar technical domain.
