Description

You will act as a subject matter expert supporting the development and testing of modern dispatch optimization algorithms for electricity system balancing.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and quality assurance of modern optimization algorithms.
• Coordinate with functional teams and business stakeholders to review and test scenarios.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify defects and observations.
• Develop requirement tools and automation for algorithm testing.
• Work with project and customer teams on dispatch algorithms within balancing transformation programs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in optimization problem solving.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and large dataset analysis.
• Expertise with Gurobi Optimizer.
• Strong understanding of LP, QP, and MIP (MILP, MIQP, and MIQCQ) problems.
• Ability to develop custom data models and algorithms for specific datasets.
• Knowledge of data collection, preprocessing, and analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, or a similar technical domain.
