Description

You will support the development and testing of the Modern Dispatch Optimization Algorithm within the Electricity System Operator Balancing program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams, customers, and developers to define dispatch algorithm requirements.
• Support quality assurance and development of modern optimization algorithms.
• Coordinate with functional teams and business stakeholders to review and test scenarios.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify defects and observations.
• Develop tools for requirements management and automate algorithm testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in optimization problem solving.
• Strong understanding of mathematical programming solvers for LP, QP, and MIP problems (MILP, MIQP, and MIQCP).
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Gurobi Optimizer.
• Ability to develop custom data models and algorithms for specific datasets.
• Experience with data collection, preprocessing, and analysis of large datasets.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering, or a similar technical domain.
