Description

Responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Accounting Hub solutions. The consultant works with finance and business teams to translate accounting requirements into scalable accounting rules, integrations, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Oracle Accounting Hub and related Oracle Financials modules.
• Analyze business and accounting requirements and translate them into Oracle solutions.
• Configure Subledger Accounting (SLA), including:
  • Accounting Methods
  • Journal Entry Rules
  • Account Rules
  • Mapping Sets
  • Supporting References
  • Description Rules
• Design accounting flows for transactions originating from external/non-Oracle systems.
• Configure and maintain ledger, legal entity, chart of accounts, and accounting structures.
• Work with integration teams on inbound transaction and accounting data interfaces.
• Support reconciliation between source systems, Accounting Hub, and the General Ledger.
• Develop functional specifications for integrations, reports, and extensions.
• Perform configuration, testing, defect resolution, and production support.
• Work with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, and user-training materials.
• Troubleshoot accounting and posting issues and provide root-cause analysis.
• Support month-end/year-end close and accounting-process improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Oracle Accounting Hub / Oracle SLA.
• Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger and Oracle Financials Cloud.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Hands-on experience with SLA configuration and accounting rules.
• Understanding of integration concepts and external source-system accounting.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional design, testing, and production support.
• Ability to work with technical teams on interfaces and data flows.
• Strong SQL/data-analysis skills are often preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle ERP Cloud implementation experience.
• Experience integrating non-Oracle applications with Accounting Hub.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, or other Oracle integration technologies.
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Oracle Financials certifications.

Typical Experience:
5–10+ years in Oracle Financials/SLA, with hands-on Accounting Hub experience particularly valuable.
