Description

You will own the full lifecycle development and support of Oracle APEX applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert production support for existing Oracle APEX applications, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance tuning.
• Lead the conversion of legacy applications, such as Microsoft Access, into new Oracle APEX solutions from requirement gathering through deployment.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Oracle APEX, mentoring the internal development team on best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with DBAs and external vendors to manage schema changes, data migration, and larger conversion projects.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional development experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures, packages, and triggers.
• Demonstrated experience building complex APEX applications from inception to production.
• Experience with APEX component development (pages, dynamic actions, reports, forms).
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing APEX security schemes (authentication/authorization).
• Solid understanding of Oracle Database concepts and architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrable experience migrating applications from platforms like Microsoft Access or Oracle Forms.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex production application issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
