Description

You will provide L2 support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments and assist in the deployment of cloud resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain OCI resources including compute instances, block storage, virtual cloud networks (VCN), and Oracle databases.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and configuration issues, escalating complex incidents to the L3 team.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, users, and roles to ensure proper access control.
• Perform regular system updates, apply security patches, and respond to identified vulnerabilities.
• Automate regular tasks such as backups, monitoring, and resource provisioning using Shell, Python, or Oracle Cloud Shell.
• Monitor resource utilization and health using OCI native monitoring tools to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in cloud administration.
• 1-2 years of direct experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Hands-on experience with OCI services: Compute, Storage, Networking, and Database services.
• Practical understanding of cloud networking, including VCN, subnets, security lists, and load balancers.
• Experience managing security configurations, IAM policies, and encryption.
• Basic knowledge of scripting with Shell or Python.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Ability to manage backups and verify data integrity for databases and critical applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Associate certification.
• Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
