Description

You will manage and migrate large-scale Oracle databases to AWS EC2, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity for up to 78 TB of data.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end migrations of on-premises Oracle databases to AWS EC2, including schema migrations and data transfer.
• Manage database entities such as tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, control files, and parameter files.
• Perform performance tuning by monitoring long-running transactions, analyzing execution plans, and generating AWR/ADDM reports.
• Handle backup and recovery tasks using RMAN and manage data exports/imports via Datapump.
• Interact with Oracle Support to create and follow up on Service Requests (SRs) for issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Strong proficiency in Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Single Instance, RAC, and ASM configurations.
• Experience with IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL databases.
• Proven track record of migrating large datasets to AWS EC2.
• Ability to generate and analyze Statspack and Statsgather reports.
• Experience scheduling scripts via Oracle jobs and crontab.

Preferred Skills

• Experience delivering customized technical training for database teams.
