Description

You will manage the installation, maintenance, and security of Oracle database environments in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Oracle database software, managing storage structures including tablespaces, datafiles, control files, redo logs, and archive logs.
• Implement and configure Data Guard, troubleshoot archive log transport failures, and convert standby databases into snapshot standbys.
• Execute RMAN active cloning and manage autonomous database backups.
• Perform Data Pump exports and imports for database and schema refreshes.
• Secure the environment by configuring Oracle wallets, setting up user accounts, and updating security protocols.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Expertise in RMAN and active cloning.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database Design.
• Hands-on experience with Data Guard implementation and management.
• Experience with Data Pump for database and schema refreshes.
• Strong knowledge of managing storage structures, tablespaces, and log files.
• Ability to configure Oracle wallets and database security protocols.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting database integrity and transport failures.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
