Description

You will design, develop, and maintain database solutions and the underlying databases for the TIERS applications portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test databases to support new applications and improve existing solutions.
• Perform advanced logical database administration, including performance monitoring, tuning, and defect repair.
• Collaborate with application development teams and business stakeholders to implement new solutions.
• Execute security recovery procedures and implement strategies for database search and storage requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming and user story development.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Oracle database technologies.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with JPA and SOAP/REST web services.
• Hands-on work with jQuery and AngularJS.
• Knowledge of IBM WebSphere.
• Ability to perform logical and physical data modeling and design relational database models.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Capacity to perform data modeling, prototyping, and database reorganization.

Preferred Skills

• Capacity to provide 24/7 support for logical database administration as required.
