Description

You will own production support, administration, and automation for Oracle database environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades for Oracle databases across multiple versions.
• Execute database backup, recovery, and refresh operations as required by business needs.
• Automate infrastructure components using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Perform SQL monitoring, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for complex issues.
• Participate in the Change Advisory Board and guide governance of database changes.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Deep expertise with Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database versions ranging from 9i through 26ai.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS administration.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Linux Shell Scripting.
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or Microsoft DSC.
• Strong background in database monitoring and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Manufacturing industry with knowledge of ITAR/PCI/HIPAA/NIST/SOX compliance.
• Experience working with SAP environments.
