Description

You will manage a large, complex production database environment and provide system-level guidance across application, server, storage, and network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain core Oracle databases for production, testing, and staging environments.
• Own performance monitoring, capacity planning, and the identification of bottlenecks or deadlock issues.
• Execute backup and recovery strategies, including periodic restoration exercises to ensure data integrity.
• Maintain security standards, controls, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with product developers and infrastructure teams to size hardware and optimize architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle in a production environment.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Deep expertise in DB design, modeling, normalization, and clustering technologies.
• Proficiency with Oracle management tools including Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Proven ability to manage storage, schemas, and report generation.
• Experience supporting organizations requiring 24x7 database reliability.
• Ability to translate capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of architecture design principles.
